Easy Gingerbread Cookies Recipe

Since it's that time of year, here is another Christmas cookie recipe for you. These soft Gingerbread cookies go well with Christmas sugar cookies and we absolutely love them this time of year! There is nothing like sitting by the Christmas tree with a couple of gingerbread cookies and a hot cup of (soy-free) tea.



What You’ll Need:

  • 3/4 cup molasses
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter (at room temperature)
  • 3 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

What To Do:

  1. Mix molasses, brown sugar, water, and butter
  2. Add flour, baking soda, allspice, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon
  3. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 3 hours
  4. Preheat oven to 350 F
  5. Roll out chilled dough and cut into desired shapes
  6. Bake 8-10 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet
  7. Remove from cookie sheet to cool
  8. Frost if desired (use the same frosting as Christmas sugar cookies)
