Soy-Free Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Is there a more iconic fall dessert than pumpkin pie? The difficulty with desserts in general is that they can easily include soy. Not only is this recipe soy-free, it is also really quick and easy to make. With homemade crust and Libby's pumpkin for the filling, this pie is guaranteed to be soy-free and a huge hit for dessert!

What You'll Need

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/3 cup shortening (make sure this is soy-free)

  • A bit of cold water

  • 1 (15 ounce) can LIBBY'S® 100% Pure Pumpkin

  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can NESTLE® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

  • 3/4 cup white sugar

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

What To Do

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F

  2. Mix the flour and shortening until crumbly

  3. Add water very slowly until dough forms

  4. Roll out the dough and place it in the bottom of a pie dish

  5. In a separate bowl, mix the pumpkin, eggs, ground cloves, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and ginger

  6. Slowly stir in the evaporated milk

  7. Pour mixture into pie dish

  8. Bake 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350 F for 40-50 minutes
