Hello! Welcome to Beyond Soy!
For the past few years, this season—the start of a new year—has been one of reflection. We started our elimination diet, which ultimately helped us figure out that Ashley has a soy intolerance, in January a few years ago and our lives have been transformed. Ashley no longer felt stuck feeling miserable and helpless, but instead she finally had some control.
That January decision was a bit of a rocky start. We didn’t know exactly what we were doing and we’ve definitely made plenty of mistakes along the way, but throughout it all we’ve kept looking forward. We continue to strive to improve: we seek out new recipes to try, look for new ways to make our old favorites without soy, and try new restaurants. Over the last few years, we’ve learned so much about food, cooking, and life in general from tackling this issue.
