New Year, New Soy-Free You

Hello! Welcome to Beyond Soy!

It’s a new year, and by this time in January many New Year’s resolutions are starting to fade. At about this time of year, we always find ourselves thinking about change again. Once the year has fully kicked into gear and the week-by-week state of our lives has settled down, we always come back to the idea of making a small change to impact our daily life.

Several years ago in January we decided to try an elimination diet to see if food could have any impact on how Ashley was feeling. We were completely shocked to find it successful and that outcome started us on this path of avoiding soy. We didn’t start our elimination diet right at the beginning of January, but rather a week or two into the new year.

A few years later, again in January, we started posting here at Beyond Soy. Again, we didn’t start posting right on January 1st; instead we started writing and posting after a few weeks of the new year.

Often, change doesn’t happen right at the same time the calendar page is turned, and that is okay! Exploring food options, including making a diet or lifestyle switch, isn’t an instant process. If you are curious about making a change, take time to explore options, start slow, and evaluate often. Any time is the right time to consider something new!
